A PASSION FOR GLASS

Weekly glass sessions for the committed.

Students attending Sue Woolhouse's weekly sessions called A Passion for Glass

These sessions are held weekly from my studio every Monday and Tuesday to a regular group of people who range from absolute beginners to those who have been coming for ten years.

Some have purchased their own kilns and want to extend their expertise in specific areas.

You can drop in anytime for three hours between the time slots below which allows for individuals to work at their own pace and chose what to make.

Regulars are often developing three or four ideas alongside each other at a time.

The studio is a fantastic space for people interested in glass to come and experiment working with glass in an artist's studio with access to professional tools, equipment and artistic know-how.

What they say …

  • “What you’ve managed to build here is the most fantastic, comprehensive range of facilities, but also you have such knowledge, and the knowledge enables the rest of us to do things we couldn’t otherwise even consider.”

    ⎯ ANDY

  • “The weekly sessions at Sue’s studio provide me with the opportunity to work with like-minded people.  As a group of individuals who love working with glass, we share ideas and experiment with techniques, drawing upon the specialised knowledge of Sue to support our activities.  Attendance at the weekly sessions has I believe supported all of us in developing our knowledge and understanding of working with glass.  Sue’s approach has never been to be prescriptive about what activities we undertake in the weekly sessions, she listens to the objectives of each individual has set themselves for the session and provides the appropriate input to enable those objectives to be met.”
