OUTREACH & COMMUNITY

Working with veterans, teams & young people.

Outreach students enjoying one of Sue's glass making sessions

I run participatory practice workshops within the community and schools, as well as working on longer term projects to enable groups to make larger pieces together.

These workshops range from youth groups, schools, intergenerational family drop ins as well as Creative Age users and carers.

In some cases, I’m lucky enough to have spent months working and getting to know people in longer term residencies with individuals who have shared histories, helping them develop coping strategies, keeping their hands busy, working alongside each other in a team but also as individuals/on their own work. I see a huge growth in people’s confidence, self-worth, and well-being.

If you’re curious and think I can help you, let’s have a chat or drop me a line and tell me what you think you want. We can develop something together tailored to your needs.

Book me and I will travel to you.

What they say …

  • “Myself and others at national glass centre have worked with Sue on a range of different projects over many years. Sue is extremely skilled at supporting people to generate ideas and realise them in glass. She has a wealth of experience with all techniques resulting in brilliant outcomes that exceed the expectations of participants. Recent projects of note are with veterans, and people living with dementia and their carers. Sue has a natural ability to make connections with anyone and support them to create something in glass that they never imagined possible!”
